INSIDE THE FORMULA

We believe you should know exactly what goes into the products you use. These are the key active ingredients in this formula.

Pčelar Ivan Curiš predstavlja vlastiti izum, skupljač pčelinjeg otrova.

Apibelle - Beeven

The Curiš family from Krapina Selo has kept bees for over four decades, out of pure love for nature.

In 1988, Ivan Curiš Sr. built the world's first prototype collector for bee venom, a device that allowed venom to be harvested humanely, without harming the bees or causing them to lose their stingers. It was the beginning of something that would take decades to fully realise. He never patented it. His only goal was to show the world that bees had more to give than honey.

Through years of research, they discovered that bee venom is not just an ordinary ingredient. It is a biological key that opens the skin from within, allowing hyaluronic acid, collagen, and CoQ10 to reach places no cream could reach on its own.

In 2011, the family formally founded Beeven Kozmetika. In 2015, they entered DM stores across Croatia with just four products. Today, the Apibelle line spans 38 certified formulations, all dermatologically and laboratory tested, registered in the European cosmetics registry.

What has never changed is the philosophy. Every jar is still made by hand, in a small but serious laboratory in Konjščina, by the same family that started it all. No parabens. No mineral oils. No artificial dyes or fragrances.

The Apibelle story

FAQ

Are Apibelle products tested and certified?
Yes. Every product in the Apibelle range is dermatologically and laboratory tested, and registered in the European cosmetics register as required by EU regulation.
How long before I see results?
Hydration and a smoother skin feel are noticeable from the first application. For the full anti-ageing effect, the firming, the reduction in fine lines, the result that bee venom is known for - allow around two months of consistent daily use. That's when the collagen-stimulating response becomes visible and sustained.
Do Apibelle products contain parabens or mineral oils?
No. All Apibelle formulations are free from parabens, mineral oils, artificial colourants, and synthetic fragrances where that's possible. Preservation is achieved naturally using propolis and bee venom, both of which have well-documented antibacterial properties.
Where does the bee venom come from?
All bee venom used in Apibelle products is sourced directly from the Curiš family's own apiaries in Konjščina, in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region of Croatia. The family has kept bees for over four decades. Sourcing from a single, known apiary means full traceability from hive to jar.
Are the bees harmed in the collection process?
No. The Curiš family developed their own humane bee venom collection method in 1988, a device placed at the hive entrance that uses a gentle electrical frequency to stimulate venom release onto a glass panel. The bee wipes its stinger against the glass without losing it, and flies back to the hive unharmed. The venom dries on the panel within seconds and is then carefully harvested.
Is bee venom safe for sensitive skin?
Bee venom has been used in apitherapy for decades and is well tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin, when formulated correctly. Apibelle products are dermatologically tested and comply with EU cosmetics regulations. However, if you have a known allergy to bee stings, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.
How long does one package last?
A 50 ml package, used twice daily in the morning and evening, typically lasts about two to three months. A small amount is enough to cover the whole face, so it lasts longer than it might first appear.
Does bee venom help with scars or hyperpigmentation?
Yes, it can help. Bee venom stimulates the skin's natural renewal and the production of collagen and elastin, which over time can improve the appearance of scars and even out skin tone. Results are gradual and most visible with regular daily use.
Is the cream comedogenic, or can it clog pores?
No. The creams have a light texture that absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue, so they do not clog pores. They are suitable for daily use and most skin types.
Can I combine Apibelle creams with retinol or acids?
Yes. Apibelle creams can be used alongside active ingredients such as retinol or acids. Apply your actives according to their instructions, then use the cream as the final step to hydrate and nourish, which helps soothe and protect the skin. If your skin is sensitive or you are just introducing stronger actives, we recommend introducing them gradually.
How should I store the cream, and how long does it last after opening?
Store the cream in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and close it well after each use. The period after opening is shown by the open-jar symbol on the packaging. Until opened, the product is good until the expiry date printed on the packaging.
Can the cream be worn under makeup?
Yes. The light texture absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue, so the cream works well as a base before makeup. We recommend waiting a few moments for it to fully absorb before applying makeup.
